What are you doing here?

Didn't you hear?

This blog is essentially dead.

Well...essentially.

I'm not sure it will ever be resurrected. There is so much going on elsewhere in my life.

For instance...it's looking like the future Mrs. Nigel will be here very shortly. She's an immigrant. A legal immigrant. She passed her embassy interview yesterday and it looks as if she will be here in the next 6 weeks.

Which means I need to pay for a wedding, a new home, furniture for the home, a new car and the remaining expenses associated with bringing and keeping Mrs. Nigel here.

So I am not participating in this recession. I've got to make as much money as I can before our President figures out how to redistribute it.

I have made many friends in the blog world...and I've stayed in touch with many of them. Perhaps I'll be back here, perhaps I'll resurface somewhere else.

If you've spent any amount of time over here...thank you.

Well...I didn't think I was very funny BEFORE I got engaged.

However, I think it's an issue of time here. I simply don't have the time to work up the snark and angry indifference.

Man, I just found this blog, and now you're quitting; was it something I said?

Best wishes.

Say it ain't so!

You'll stay on my "check daily" list. At least for a while.

Hey Rick,

Not SURE that I am quitting...I simply don't have time to blog right now.

That might become a permanent state for me. I just don't know.

But if I come back to blog...make sure you take credit for prodding me back into it...

Wow...I wasn't expecting such a warm response. In addition to the public comments here, I've gotten about a dozen emails telling me not to stop blogging.

I appreciate it...I really do. The door is left open for a return...a la Brett Favre...

I see that you put up a new post, and I can report that I can pat myself on the back without causing me harm.

We'll continue to check in, here's hoping that you continue to find inspiration.
