Church billed $40,000 for harboring Elvira Arellano wannabe

Another "church" decides to harbor another illegal alien with an anchor baby. But Simi Valley, California is playing hardball:

By the end of the week, a Simi Valley church will be billed almost $40,000 for police presence during a weekend protest against the church's sheltering of an illegal immigrant.

The city of Simi Valley is sending a $39,306 invoice to the United Church of Christ for costs incurred for police services at the protest.

The Sunday protest brought out about 125 anti-illegal immigration activists and counterprotesters. Simi officials said that by publicly announcing the decision to shelter an illegal immigrant, the church essentially provoked the protesters to come and create a possible disturbance — one that police had to monitor.

Mayor Paul Miller told the council Monday night that he's ready to send out the bill right away. He called church members irresponsible for "harboring an illegal immigrant."

"This city is not going to be known as sanctuary city,'" Miller said.

Mayor Miller puts his foot down

Uh...so who's the lawbreaker causing all the trouble this time? Would you believe another illegal alien who got herself pregnant so she can have that little lottery ticket illegals call "anchor baby":

The church has been sheltering "Liliana", an illegal immigrant from Oxnard...

Now stop right there. If "Liliana" was from Oxnard, she wouldn't be an illegal alien. Liliana is from Mexico. I just had to interject.

...and her U.S.-born infant son for several weeks. Wanted for deportation, the woman is living in the church's former parsonage as part of a national New Sanctuary Movement aimed at keeping families of illegal immigrants together.

The City Council made it clear it doesn't want Liliana in a Simi Valley church.

At the council meeting, Miller said he sent a letter to U.S. Rep. Elton Gallegly, R-Simi Valley, requesting immigration officials take custody of Liliana.

Just curious. Where's the father of the baby? If the church really wanted to keep the family together, don't you think they could go find the dad?

And nobody is threatening to break the family up. The baby can go back to Mexico with the mother.

whooo hooo! cudos to Simi Valley.

its about time we started using common sense.
Since this illegal alien is being harbored by the church thereby violating the spirit of the separation of church and state as well as breaking the law (render unto Cesar you bastards!) by harboring the fugitive, revoke their tax exemption!

Any "Church" that does this has entered the political sphere and should lose tax-exempt status. Begin the property assessment for the property tax and report them to the IRS for income tax fraud.

Well, its not really the church harboring the illegal I have a problem with. That's the church's and congregation's decision and their expense as well. But if the illegal ever wanted medical care (surgery, shots, etc), they had better pay for that to. And the child’s education, of course. And the expense if either of them end up going to jail.

I'll bet they would kick the illegal right out if they had sole responsibility to pay all the expenses for them.

Then again, if they want to pay all the expenses, go ahead and let them. It can start with the $40,000 dollar fine. Think of it as a down payment.

Kudos to Miller for billing the church, but what is it with illegal aliens going into churches and pulling this sanctuary crap? We're not living in a Victor Hugo novel. The cops should have gone in there and dragged her out by the hair before kicking her back across the border before she could plant her anchor baby.

I wanted to express my deepest shame to the UCC who is making the prime news tonight
for protecting illegal immigrants and all these anchor children. I am suggesting
to get ICE buses to these churches ASAP!
So who is going to be next in there: rapists, bank robbers and serial killers?
The city of Simi Valley's initiative must be followed, Los Angeles must be
next in demanding a bill from Mexico for the millions (the billions) spent
on illegals in Los Angeles's jails, welfare, free education, etc
